Fall Classes Have Arrived!

Beginning Crochet—Learn crochet basics (chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half-
double crochet and double crochet) while making a lovely flower pin. Supplies: One skein worsted weight yarn in desired flower color and 1 size H/8 5.0mm hook. Students receive a muslin drawstring bag and folder with illustrated instructions. Green yarn provided for leaves. Class size limited to 4!

Kids’ Sewing—Come learn basic sewing techniques in a fun atmosphere.  Possible projects include skirt, simple bag, patchwork quilt, etc.  Inquire at Harmony for first class supplies.  A note from Kaitlyn: “I have been sewing/quilting now for 16 years.  I have been teaching sewing/quilting classes for the past 9 years.  I love to create and share my passion with others. From bags to quilts to clothing items, you name it I love to sew it! I am so excited to be here teaching here at Harmony!”

Dreamcatcher Workshop—Dreamcatchers have been used for hundreds of years by various Native American tribes as a way to keep nightmares away. Hoops wrapped with fabric and string and bits of things from everyday life became a practical adornment. Come make a modern dreamcatcher of your own, using yarn and fabric from our beautiful Harmony stash. We’re going to have a ball! Supplies included. Ages 7-14.

Weaving 101—Learn to weave on a rigid heddle loom. Students will warp their loom in class
and begin to weave a scarf. They will work on the scarf at home then complete it in class. Students will begin a second project at home, with the third class for trouble shooting. Looms will be available to rent; rental fee can be applied to purchase price at 20% off.  Student provides two 50-gram balls of worsted weight yarn for a skinny (5″) scarf, or two 100-gram balls for a 7-8″ wide scarf.

Mid-Semester Survival Kit: An Essential Oil Make and Take—Midterms are upon us; you will likely be feeling the effects! Come to Harmony to make your own essential oil- infused bath salts (Epsom salt, pink Himalayan salt, and dried flowers) for a relaxing soak, as well as a rollerball with a relaxing blend of essential oils to ease stress throughout the day. Cost includes all supplies. (Make additional bath salt and rollerball sets for $10/each.)
