Quick Holiday Goodies—Our new teacher, Lori Wells, has taught cooking classes at Thanksgiving Point for 10 years.  She will demonstrate several treats including Cashew Turtles, Delicious Fudge, English Toffee, Scotchie Balls and more! Lots of ideas will be included in this fun one-hour class. Come get in the mood for a festive season!

Beginning Crochet—Learn crochet basics (chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half-double crochet and double crochet) while making a lovely flower pin. Supplies: One skein worsted weight yarn in desired flower color and 1 size H/8 5.0mm hook. Students receive a muslin drawstring bag and folder with illustrated instructions. Green yarn provided for leaves.  Class size limited to 4!

Pom Pom Garland—Pom poms are easy, fun, and fabulous, and on a garland for your home they are super festive.   Bring stash yarns and we’ll share some of ours.  A set of two pom pom makers is included!

Knitting Christmas Stockings—Make your own beautiful cabled Christmas stockings in time for Christmas! Learn some of the tricks for beautiful cables, toes, and heels. Patterns for knitting cabled Christmas stockings and mini Christmas tree ornament included.  Supplies:  48” circular needles, size 8 or 9, 100 g worsted-weight yarn (1 or 2 colors).  Instructor provides patterns for full-sized and mini Christmas stockings.

Weaving 2.0—We will make a woven sampler while learning several different techniques, including hem stitching and leno, for future weaving projects.  Come with rigid heddle loom warped about two yards in length and 8-10 inches wide. (min 3-4)

Mole Tamales—Come to a tamale demonstration class.  You will learn how to make chicken mole tamales for the holidays and take some home with you!

Granny Square Class—Learn to crochet a timeless classic.  We will learn circular crochet motifs, changing colors, weaving in ends as you go, and joining techniques.  Basic crochet skills required.  Bring several different colors of DK or worsted weight yarn, size F/5 3.75 mm hook (DK) or size H/8 5.0 mm hook (worsted), scissors, and a tapestry needle.
