Edward’s Menagerie Crochet Birds – Learn all the necessary crochet techniques to make your very own crochet bird! The class is designed to guide you through each step, from crocheting each piece, to stuffing, sewing everything together, and creating a face for your animal. Beginning crochet experience preferred. Supplies: Yarn, crochet hook, Edward’s Menagerie Birds book

Paper Daisy Mother’s Day Corsage – Get in-person instruction from Chelsey McNeil of Rosy Paper Posies as she helps you create a paper Mother’s Day corsage, complete with cheerful paper daisy, paper greens, and accented with a colorful burst of small paper blooms.  All paper pieces will be pre-cut, ready for you to shape and assemble. After this one-hour class, you will go home with your completed corsage packaged in a corsage box, a kit to make a second corsage at home, and the paper daisy pattern (for personal use)

Winter Class List 2018

Lander Pants – With a high waist and button fly, the Lander pattern is not only on trend, but also flattering and comfortable for all body types. Students will learn to fit and sew these fabulous pants. For the intermediate seamstress. Materials: Lander Pant pattern, fabric and notions as per pattern.

Cooking with Jane – Jamming! – This is the way to jewel-up summer in bottles! Making your own lets you control the level of sweetness in the final product and is a simple way to use up any bumper crop of fruit.

Beginning Crochet – Learn crochet basics (chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half-double crochet and double crochet) while making a lovely flower pin. Students receive a muslin drawstring bag and folder with illustrated instructions. Green yarn provided for leaves.  Class size limited to 4! Materials: One skein worsted weight yarn in desired flower color and 1 size H/8 5.0mm hook.

Weaving 101 – Learn to weave on a rigid heddle loom.  Students will warp their loom in class and begin to weave a scarf.  They will work on the scarf at home then complete it in class. Students will begin a second project at home, with the third class for troubleshooting.  Looms will be available to purchase or rent at 20% off; rental fee can be applied to purchase price. Supplies: two 50-gram balls of worsted weight yarn for a skinny (5”) scarf, or two 100-gram balls for a 7-8” wide scarf.  Class size limited to 4!

Beginning Drop Spindle Spinning – Learn to spin on a Bare Bones spindle!  We will learn about the history of spindles, Park and Draft, and finally spinning on spindles using really great fiber!  Afterwards we can discuss all the different marvelous things you can do with a spindle! You can spin for a project! For Fun! The best part, a spindle is so very portable!

Weaving 3.0 – New techniques for this class will include: pile weaves, Danish medallions, mixed warp, honeycomb, and Spanish lace. Prep Instructions: Come with rigid heddle loom warped about two yards in length and 8-10 inches wide.
