Forest Canopy Shawl — We will be knitting a light and lovely triangular lace shawl, perfect for spring breezes. The pattern is the lovely Forest Canopy Shawl by Utah designer Susan Lawrence, a perfect beginner lace shawl and a fun knit for more experienced knitters. Advanced adventurous beginner: Must be able to cast on and cast off, knit and purl, yarn over, and do basic decreases.
Student Provides: Pattern: Forest Canopy Shawl by Susan Lawrence, 350-400 yards of fingering weight yarn, 1-32” circular needle with pointy tips, size 8 (or needle size that achieves a gauge of 22 stitches and 14 rows over 4”in stockinette stitch), scissors, stitch markers, a metal blunt-tipped tapestry needle, sticky notes, pencil, and your other favorite knitting notions.

Beginning Brioche Knitting – Welcome to the wild and wonderful world of Brioche knitting! We will learn how to do the basic brioche stitches and get comfortable working with one color and two colors, working flat and in the round.
Student provides: For scarf: About 400 yards each of 2 colors of worsted weight yarn, 1-24” size 7 circular needles with pointy tips for scarf For cowl: About 100 yards each of 2 colors of bulky yarn, 1-24” size 11 circular needles with pointy tips for cowl For both: Scissors, stitch markers, a metal blunt-tipped tapestry needle, sticky notes, pencil, measuring tape, and your other favorite knitting notions.

Scandiwork Spring Sweater or Vest – Come knit Kristin Drysdale of Scandiwork’s brand new pattern — Choose between a short-sleeved vintage-inspired fairisle jumper or a sweater vest in Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift! Master skills such as stranded colorwork knit and purl, attention to gauge and fit, colorwork, decreasing and increasing in pattern work, working with three colors at once, color dominance, 3-needle bind off, setting sleeves in, picking up stitches.
The gauge for the sweater is 28-29 stitches over 4 inches on a sz 2-3 needle depending on the size chosen. Supplies list upon sign-up!

Cooking with Jane – Flatbread Tutorial – Flatbreads for scooping and rolling curries and salads. Flatbreads stuffed with vegetables and cheese. Flatbreads griddled or pan-fried until golden and crispy. Flatbreads are the answer to leaving the oven off while still enjoying warm, chewy bread. The dough is just flour, salt, water, and a little oil or yogurt. Come see how easy flatbreads are to make and how delicious they are to eat.

Beginning Crochet – Learn crochet basics (chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half-double crochet and double crochet) while making a lovely flower pin. Students receive a muslin drawstring bag and folder with illustrated instructions. Green yarn provided for leaves. Class size limited to 4! Student provides: One skein worsted weight yarn in desired flower color and 1 size H/8 5.0mm hook.
