Beginning Continental Knitting for Adults – Learn basic knitting and purling stitches in the Continental style, a very fluid and enjoyable method of knitting. We will also learn a basic cast-on and cast-off and fundamental pattern-reading skills to make a useful dishcloth and a cute cowl. Student provides: 1- size 8 24” circular needle, ~200 yards of Aran-weight yarn, basic knitting supplies (scissors, measuring tape, blunt-tipped metal darning needle, stitch markers, pen or pencil, sticky notes). Brioche Knitting 2.0 – Build upon skills learned in Beginning Brioche Knitting to include brioche increases and decreases and the two-color Italian cast on. Must have completed a beginning brioche class or should be comfortable knitting brioche in one color and two, in the flat and in the round. Bring at least 2 colors of worsted weight yarn (totaling 200 yards) and size 5 or 6 24” circular needles as well as basic knitting notions: scissors, stitch markers, blunt tapestry needle, pen or pencil—sticky notes are helpful!

Afghan Squares Crochet-A-Long – Take your crochet skills to a new level by learning 8 new afghan squares patterns that feature bobbles, twisted chains, raised flower centers, and front- and back-post stitches. The block patterns are sized to be interchangeable, so you can mix and match patterns to create a blanket that is unique to you. Patterns for 2 afghan blocks provided at each meeting. Beginning Brioche Knitting – Welcome to the wild and wonderful world of Brioche knitting, a technique that makes a reversible knit fabric! We will learn how to do the basic brioche stitches and get comfortable working with one color and two colors, working flat and in the round. Student provides: For scarf—About 400 yards each of 2 colors of worsted weight yarn, 1-24” size 7 circular needle with pointy tips. For cowl— About 100 yards each of 2 colors of bulky yarn, 1-24” size 11 circular needles with pointy tips.
